Ochsner American Legion Hospital Safe Sitters Class

Ochsner American Legion Hospital in Jennings is hosting a Safe Sitter class for teens this July!

📍 Where: Ochsner American Legion Hospital, second-floor classroom
📅 When: Monday, July 21, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Students will learn how to prevent unsafe situations and how to respond during power outages or weather emergencies.

They'll also get tips on managing behavior, staying in control, and caring for younger children.

The class includes lessons on child development, diapering, CPR, first aid, and how to handle common injuries and illnesses. It also covers business basics, including how to screen jobs and discuss fees.

Lunch will be provided both days. Each session costs $50, payable by cash or check to Ochsner American Legion Hospital.
